In 1928 Shunsen and Watanabel issued a set of three portraits of beautiful women who are shown in private moments. In this print, a nude woman with a brightly patterned shawl over her lap is defined by the undulating line and delicate coloring that suggest the softness of her skin. Watanabe priced the three prints at five yen each, just one yen more than Shunsen's actor prints, biut apparently they were not a great success, for Shunsen and Watanabe did not collabortate on such motifs again. Ironically, this design is now one of the most desirable of Shunsen's works.
